TikTok is very popular, with 1 billion people logging into the app every month, according to the company. While TikTok has grown its first audience with selected, short video clips, this review shows that the company is committed to keeping users in the app for a long time and competing with YouTube and Facebook in the long-form video content market.
While TikTok seems to be challenging YouTube with a long-form video, some of its rivals on social media have taken a different approach: Instagram has introduced the feature of creating short videos, called Reels, in 2021, YouTube launches its Shorts feature in 2021 so with TikTok, and Snapchat introduced a TikTok-like feature called Spotlight in 2020 .
